I’m incredibly lucky that my house has managed to stay standing, but thousands of people are not as fortunate. Hello Dear, 

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to you, urgently pleading for your help. I appeal to your mercy and humanity to help us. Please don’t be surprised when I say that you, yourself, are my hope—the hope that can bring life back to me and my children. As you read this message, my family and I are hungry, thirsty, and terrified. We are homeless, depressed, and feeling hopeless. To be honest with you, I can endure famine, thirst, and homelessness, but I cannot bear the thought of watching my children die from starvation. 

I am a father of three children, striving alongside my wife to secure a decent life for them. After October 7th, our lives took a drastic turn with the onset of the cruel war on Gaza. Tragically, everything we owned was lost when our home and business were bombed and destroyed. We are now enduring a slow death, living a devastating life in Gaza. 

I am reaching out to you after exhausting all other options that could keep us alive. The basic needs of living and the harsh circumstances we are enduring have forced me to write this letter and extend a hand for help. I believe that your generosity and kindness can make a huge difference in our lives and give us the hope we so desperately need. 

In response to our dire circumstances, I have created a campaign to help my family rebuild our lives and meet our basic needs for food, water, and other essentials in these harsh conditions. I haven’t posted much about it on this blog because I have so few followers here compared to main and other side blogs, but genuinely, if you are a fan of Avatar, you need to be doing everything you can to support and liberate palestine and end this genocide. ATLA is about a fucking genocide and the devastating impacts of colonialism and a brutal military occupation. Well, we’re witnessing a genocide and the devastating impacts of colonialism and a brutal military occupation right now. If you are a fan of ATLA or LOK you fucking need to be talking about palestine and Palestinian liberation. You need to be calling your elected officials, going to protests, talking to people in real life, resharing and uplifting Palestinian voices, boycotting Israeli products, reading and educating yourself on what’s going on and the history behind it, and doing everything you can to stop this genocide.

We all need to be talking about palestine. Silence and “neutrality” and inaction is complicity.

Perception not matching reality, what is/is not a monster is a huge theme throughout SNW.

Yet so many people seem to think they’re not going to pull something similar with the Gorn? Even though the show has taken time to establish that the Gorn are intelligent and have a religion?

The thing about the Gorn is that people have died - La’an’s family, Hemmer, some other members of the Enterprise crew, nearly the entire crew of the Cayuga, multiple colonies - and possibly Marie will be added to that list before the two-parter is done. That creates an environment where it’s understandable that the SNW characters would not want to have their perception that the Gorn are monsters challenged, because the harm they have caused is so personal.

It creates a really interesting conflict for the crew, because how do you find understanding, how to you fight the will for revenge, when there’s been so much pain?

I could be wrong about this being the route the SNW writers are going down, but I’m really excited to see if they do.

In short. This woman, Naima(@naiemasblog) is struggling beyond what many of us could ever imagine.

You don't need to be a mother to imagine how desperate to save her children she is. Her family has 17 members. Would you not go to the ends of the earth to help your own family in this position?

If you would, then you understand why we need to help her do the same!

However- if you can't donate, there are other ways to help.

People in Palestine have been under the thumb of Israel attacks because of the war against Palestine and Israel. Israel's side of the war is using lethal force against Palestinian people and bombing towns full of citizens. This has been going on for months and months. So much bombing has taken place that almost everywhere is destroyed. The Gaza Strip is one of the last places people can go for any kind of refuge, and even now, there's still bombing taking place. There's hardly any refuge or food, the hospitals are suffering due to limited power, and many people do not have the money to leave. That is why they need our help. Outside of Gaza, there are refugee stations and help centers to help shelter the escaped Palestinians, but they have to get there first. And in order to do that, they need someone to help get them the money, that's where we, as people outside of Gaza- many of us living in America which actively funds Israel- come in! It's our time to do something, and all of us are able to do something even if it's small.

So currently, I had to submit a government allowance again as it got suspended due to my previous one having it's time limit exceeded. I didn't do the claim in time before getting paid comfortably due to misinterpreting the operator's words which made me think that I didn't have to worry until later (I know... it wasn't wise of me).
